COVID-19 Booster

If you are over 50 you will be able to book a Covid booster 6 months after your second vaccination. You will be invited by the NHS to book at a hub or by us to book an appointment at the surgery. We have limited vaccines and will invite patients in cohort order. We are only inviting patients who had their first and second vaccines with us due to demand. Please do not phone the surgery.

Flu Clinic’s

If you are aged over 65 and or in a clinical at risk group, you can phone the surgery and book an appointment. Availability will depend on us receiving our delivery of vaccines. If you are a healthy 50–64year-old we advise you book a vaccine at any pharmacy free of charge. We are aware that the NHS have sent texts advising you to book at your surgery, but we have limited capacity and vaccines.

Demand

We are experiencing a huge surge in demand for appointments (around 25% higher than before the pandemic) please consider self-help for basic ailments (cuts, grazes and tummy upsets) Pharmacies for advice on ailments and medication. 111 – When the surgery is closed and you need medical help fast, but it is not a life threatening situation or you need to go to A&E. 999 – for a life threatening situation. We apologise if you are having to wait a little longer for your phone call to be answered, please be patient and polite to our reception team who are working very hard to keep up with demand.

If you are unable to attend your appointment it is important that you phone and cancel in time for us to offer this to someone else.
