The demand in General Practice is continuing to rapidly increase. The Scarlet Fever and Strep A concerns have had a huge impact on our demand. If your call is urgent, it will be triaged, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
We have several clinical staff that you may be directed to including our Paramedics, Physician Associate, Pharmacist and Nurses. These are highly skilled members of staff, and it may be more appropriate for you to see one of them. Please do not refuse an appointment.
Our phone lines are increasingly busy, we have employed extra staff to help cover this. We have also employed Locum Doctors, so we have been able to offer extra appointments. If you get a message saying your call can not be connected, this is due to the increased demand. Please try again later.

Christmas and New Year Closures
The surgery will be closed from 18:30 on Friday 23rd December until 08:00 on Wednesday 28th December. We will also be closed on Monday 2nd January.
Please order any medication that is due over Christmas by Monday 19th December.

COVID Autumn Booster
We are continuing with reduced vaccination clinics at the surgery. If you are over 58 and have not been invited for your booster you can contact the surgery directly. (Please do not phone on a Monday) You can also book at HUBS. We will not be administering the vaccine for children, you will need to book at a HUB. We will not have the vaccine in the surgery. There will be a covid vaccination bus at Henry Street Garden Centre on 18th December from 10-4, if you are attending you will need to have your NHS number and wear a mask.
You will need to have a gap of at least 3 months since your last COVID vaccine. You also need to wait for 28 days if you have tested positive with COVID before booking an appointment – Please do not book early as you will be turned away.
Seasonal Flu Vaccines
We are continuing to give flu vaccines in surgery. If you want to phone the surgery to book an appointment, please do not phone on a Monday or before 14:00 as these are our busiest times. If you have had a letter to book your 2-4 year old for a nasal flu, please phone the surgery to book this during the times stated above .
