Burma Hills Surgery is actively participating in the Covid-19 Vaccination Programme.
We have now vaccinated approximately 3000 patients across our primary care network.
As soon as we are notified of further vaccine deliveries we will contact patients directly to offer them a vaccine appointment. Patients will be invited in order of risk as calculated by NHS England.
Vaccinations will take place at the Bradbury Centre in Wokingham.
We will make separate arrangements for our housebound patients.
If you are contacted, you will be asked some questions to ensure your suitability for the vaccine – please cooperate with our surgery staff fully in order to ensure patient safety. You will then be sent more detailed instructions and information electronically to ensure that you understand the vaccination implications and process.
Please do not contact the surgery to request a vaccine appointment – the criteria for vaccinations are laid out by NHS England very strictly and are not able to be changed by practices.
To say 2020 has been a difficult year is a significant understatement, but we are excited and proud to be supporting the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine. The logistical challenge of vaccinating all of our patients, while socially distancing and keeping all concerned safe, is not to be underestimated, so please be patient with us as we work this through.
Thank You.
