Here4YOUth Wokingham

Wokingham Borough Council have announced the launch of the new Here4YOUth service. Wokingham have a young person’s team dedicated to supporting young people who have questions about, are using or are affected by substances.

At Here4YOUth there is no one size fits all approach to their work, and they understand that all young people they work with have diverse challenges but they also recognise their individual strengths and identity and this forms a large basis of our work. The team strive to develop a therapeutic alliance between worker and young person offering appointments in a location they feel safe – including online. They take the least intrusive view to all of their interventions and support. In line with this, they have developed an evidence-based Screening, Prevention and Upward Referral (SPUR) approach.
